"Aurubis Bulgaria provides BGN 2.25 million under the new partnership programs with the municipalities of Pirdop, Zlatitsa and Anton in the Srednogorie region

"Aurubis Bulgaria" AD provides BGN 2.25 million for activities in supporting the development of Pirdop, Zlatitsa and Anton in the new partnership programs with the three municipalities in the Sredna Gora region. The company signed framework agreements worth BGN 1 million each with the municipalities of Pirdop and Zlatitsa and BGN 250 thousand with the municipality of Anton. The deadline for the implementation of the projects in Pirdop and Zlatitsa is a year and a half - until September 2025, in Anton municipality - until September 2027. Priorities in the programmes are education, culture, social activities and healthy lifestyle.
Funds are provided to improve the conditions for education in the schools "Savo Savov" and "Todor Vlaikov" in Pirdop, "St. Paisii Hilendarski" and the professional high school in Zlatitsa, kindergartens in Pirdop, Zlatitsa and Dusantsi, for social scholarships and canteen meals for students in Zlatitsa. Support continues for the medical centers in the villages of Karlievo, Tsarkvishte and Petrich and the medical centers in Pirdop and Zlatitsa. Outside the scope of the programmes, the company supports the Pirdop Hospital.

It is planned to build new playgrounds in Anton, Dusantsi and Pirdop, energy efficient street lighting in Anton and a video surveillance system in Dusantsi. 
A budget is provided for the community centres in Pirdop, Zlatitsa, Dushanci, Petrich, Tsarkvishte and Karlievo. The company continues its traditional support for cultural initiatives, sports activities, amateur groups and social clubs in the region.

The agreements were signed between the mayors of Pirdop - Angel Gerov, Zlatitsa - Lyubomir Tsvetkov, Anton - Andrey Simov and Tim Kurt - CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria and Ivaylo Georgiev - Head of Sustainability and Public Affairs at the company. "We create good things when we are united. Partnership programs create conditions for a fulfilling life here," said Tim Kurth. The cooperation with the three municipalities in the Srednogorie region is part of a long-term policy for sustainable development in the region. The partnership programmes are framework agreements that set the main priorities and are implemented in a spirit of transparency.
